Case 600

Hereafter is described the first test case of bestest benchmark. All the used data is taken from ASHRAE Standard 140-2020

1. Geometry

In addition to the base geometry described in Bestest benchmark, the case 600 building includes two windows on the south facade as shown in Figure 1.

2. Meterial properties

The opaque constructions material properties are presenting in Table 1. In our case, the density and thermal capacity of the insulation is taken equal to \(10^{-15}\).

3. Heat exchange coefficients

The indoor and outdoor heat exchange coefficients are as shown in Table 3. In our case, we use the combined (radiative and convective) coefficient.

4. Weather data

For the present test case, we use the tmy weather file of Denver that accompanies the norm.
